Manchester City have rubbished reports suggesting Paris St Germain are the latest side to have made a move for want-away striker Carlos Tevez.
Italian giants AC and Inter Milan have led the chase for the Argentina international, with both clubs holding transfer discussions with City.
A switch to Serie A appeared to be on the cards at one stage, but talks seem to have broken down.
City's reluctance to sanction a loan move with a view to a permanent deal being struck in the summer is proving to be a sticking point.
They are keen to cash in on Tevez now and have made it clear that they will not be lowering their demands for a player who has not figured in their plans since becoming embroiled in a touchline row with coach Roberto Mancini during a UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich in September.
Rumours
Reports in France claimed PSG had met City's asking price and were in the process of putting personal terms in place.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti had fanned the flames when he mentioned Tevez in a list of strikers he claims have been offered to PSG since the winter transfer window opened.
City, though, insist they have had no contact with the ambitious French outfit.
"It's just not true," a City spokesman said.
"Manchester City have not received a bid for Carlos Tevez from Paris Saint Germain."
