Sergio Aguero: Ready to make a return to action for club and country

Sergio Aguero has handed Argentina and Manchester City a welcome fitness boost by declaring himself ready for action.

The South American striker is currently away on international duty, but was forced to sit out a meeting with Bolivia on Friday.

Aguero was left out of Argentina's 1-1 draw as a precaution, with it feared that he had suffered a groin strain.

Such a problem would have seen him sidelined for the foreseeable future, forcing him to miss crucial fixtures for club and country.

He has, however, undergone a scan on the problem area and no injury has been identified.

Recovered

Aguero is now set to turn out for Argentina in their latest 2014 World Cup qualifier against Colombia on Tuesday, before returning to England and readying himself for City's next Premier League outing against Newcastle.

He told City's official website: "I'm fully recovered and on my way to Colombia.

"I'm eager to give the best on the pitch for the team.

"The results of the scan were good and it looks like it was just muscle fatigue, though I didn't want to chance it against Bolivia."
