Manchester City starlets Andreas Mancini and Luca Scapuzzi are relishing the prospect of first-team football with Oldham.

The Italian forward duo have moved to Boundary Park on respective one-month and two-month loan deals. Mancini, son of City boss Roberto, told the Manchester Evening News: "Playing in League One will be a good experience because it's a competitive league. "It's good to play first-team football. I've been in the reserves for a year-and-a-half, but it's not important where you play as long as you play. You need to grow up and develop, you need to learn to become a footballer." Scapuzzi, who impressed on his full City debut in the 5-2 Carling Cup win at Wolves last week, added: "I want to help the team achieve what it wants to. It's good for me to play first-team football in a good environment. "I enjoyed the game with City last week but the staff advised me it was better to go on loan and play. I want to get the experience, go back to City and get in he first team."
