Skysports.com understands that Middlesbrough have agreed a deal for Manchester City starlet Alex Nimely.
The Liberian-born striker joined City's Academy back in 2008 and has progressed to their first team.
He was handed his Premier League debut last year, but City are keen for him to gain first-team experience.
Now he is set to join Championship high-flyers Boro, who have agreed a deal with City.
Nimely will join on an initial three-month loan and will end Boro boss Tony Mowbray's search for a new striker.
Boro currently only have Marvin Emnes and Scott McDonald in their senior squad, and Nimely will add to Mowbray's options.
