Sky Sports sources understand that Queens Park Rangers are closing on the signing of Shaun Wright-Phillips.
A host of clubs have been looking at the England international, who is only on the fringes of the first-team squad at the Etihad Stadium.
Wright-Phillips had held talks with a number of clubs and Bolton had seemed favourites to land his signature.
But QPR have been looking to finalise a permanent deal for the 29-year-old and they appear to have won the race.
Former Chelsea man Wright-Phillips is set to complete a move back to London on Wednesday, ahead of the transfer window closing.
