NEC Nijmegen have signed Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim on a season-long loan deal. The 20-year-old has featured twice for City's first team and made 11 appearances during a loan spell at Scunthorpe United last season. Ibrahim is happy to have joined NEC for the coming campaign and he is looking forward to the chance to play regular football. "I have had a good feeling about NEC over the past few days," Ibrahim told the club's official website. "I am, therefore, convinced that I am at a good place in order to get a lot of playing time." NEC's technical director, Carlos Aalbers, added: "NEC has recently built a good relationship with Manchester City and this has led to the deal for Abdisalam. "We are delighted that he has chosen NEC to make the next step in his development."
