Moore still hoping to strengthen Rotherham's squad

Rotherham United are hoping to bring in promising Manchester City midfielder Donal McDermott on loan. The 20-year-old winger has found first-team chances limited at Eastlands this season, despite impressing during loan spells at both Chesterfield and Scunthorpe last term. Millers boss Ronnie Moore told skysports.com after his side maintained their solid start to the season with a 1-0 win over in-form Chesterfield that he is still looking to strengthen his squad with loan additions. "At the moment they don't want to loan anybody out, but we are moving in the right direction with the players that we have already got," said Moore. "I still feel that we need someone who will get themselves on the ball when we are under the cosh. "We need someone who can put their foot on the ball and slow the game down before launching the counter attack. "On Saturday we were defending on the edge of our box a little longer than we should have been." A stunning solo strike from goal-machine Adam Le Fondre earned all three points against Chesterfield, but Moore insists Rotherham are not a one-man side, despite the striker taking his tally to eight goals in eight league games. Moore added: "We don't rely on his goals that much really because we've got goals from other areas of the field, with Ellison scoring a few recently and Cresswell is always a danger from set-pieces. "This league is going to be that tight this season, but the game on Saturday was a great advert for League Two because it was a game of real quality from two good sides."
