Ivorian star joins his brother at Eastlands

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure on a five-year deal. City have paid Barcelona around £27.5million for the Ivory Coast international, who leaves Camp Nou after three years with the Spanish champions. Toure, 28, now joins his brother Kolo at Eastlands, after he completed his move following a medical in Spain. "This is another fantastic signing for Manchester City, and I am very pleased Yaya has joined us, he is a very good player," City boss Roberto Mancini told the club's official website. "Everyone knows Yaya is a player that we have admired for a long time, and we would like to welcome him to Manchester City. "He has played at the top level with Barcelona and I am sure his experience and ability will be very important for us." Toure becomes City's third major signing of the summer, following on from Jerome Boateng and David Silva, and takes their spending through the £50million barrier.
