Blackpool caretaker boss Tony Parkes has bolstered his midfield options with the addition of Manchester City's Paul Marshall on loan.
The teenage midfielder, who was a member of the team's Under-18 side that went to the 2006 FA Youth Cup final, has five goals for City's reserves this term.
With a number of high-profile players vying for places in City's midfield, manager Mark Hughes has allowed Marshall to leave on a one-month loan to garner first-team experience.
"I think it is a good move for me because Blackpool are a big club," he told Blackpool's official website. "Hopefully I can do well here.
"Playing in the Championship will be a good experience for me because it will also show Mark Hughes that I can do it in the league.
"If I do well here he may think that I will be good enough for the Premiership when I go back."
