Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido is adamant reported Manchester City target Luis Fabiano will not leave the Primera Liga club in January.
Fabiano's agent, Jose Fuentes, claimed last month that cash-fuelled City are among a host of clubs interested in the Brazilian.
However, Del Nido has no plans to sell the 28-year-old attacker, despite rumours of a potential £25million bid from City.
He said in the Daily Star: "We have already discarded this opportunity because we feel that it will damage the team.
"We are involved in a lot of competitions and at the moment we do not want to lose such an important player.
"We are not interested in the money. I will not change my mind.
"Today Sevilla are not a selling club and the idea of winning matches is more important to us than money.
"The player and the agent have been told his. But the situation could be completely different in the summer."
