Celtic defender Gary Caldwell wants The Bhoys to thrash out a permanent deal to retain on-loan striker Georgios Samaras.
The on-loan Manchester City man has bagged five SPL goals in 14 league appearances, including Saturday's crucial winner at Motherwell.
City are believed to want around £3million for the Greek striker and Caldwell believes it will be money well spent if they are able to retain the 23-year-old permanently.
"Georgios has been great," Caldwell told the Daily Record. "His goals have been all important, they have helped us.
"It's the manager's decision but we'd love him to stay here as it is great for the squad to have competition for place up front."
