Werder Bremen star Diego has insisted he wants to stay put.
The Brazilian international has impressed hugely in Bremen since moving there in 2006 from Porto.
Deigo, still only 23, is being tracked by a host of clubs from Italy and Spain, whilst Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is also said to be a huge fan.
The brilliant playmaker now insists that he is more than happy to stay with Werder as he is playing the best football of his career.
"Since I have been at Bremen I feel that I am going through the best moment of my career," he said.
"I have even been recalled to the Brazilian national team thanks to my performances at Werder."
One more year?
Diego did admit that, although he wants to stay, it may only be for one more year.
"I am fine at Bremen, I have got adapted perfectly well so I don't see any reason for wanting something different," he told Gazeta Press.
"I am still under contract for three more years; I don't know if I will continue here for so much time but what I am sure of is that I want to play with Werder for at least one more year ."
