Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson still harbours hope of luring Mark Bresciano to Eastlands.
The Swedish tactician has long since been an admirer of the combative Australian and tried to sign him from Palermo prior to the close of the transfer window.
Bresciano visited Manchester and looked all set to join an influx of foreign stars to City, only for the two clubs to fail to concur on a payment structure.
And although the move floundered, Eriksson is nevertheless still confident that it could be resurrected.
"We were always interested in him," Eriksson told the Manchester Evening News.
"He might be a possibility. But it is too early. Let's wait for a couple of months then see exactly what we need."
