Manchester City defender Matthew Mills has finalised his loan move to Doncaster Rovers.
The youngster will spend the next six months with the League One club after rejecting other offers.
He played against Rovers for City in a pre-season friendly, but was aware his opportunities under Sven Goran Eriksson would be limited this season.
Mills has now sealed his switch to Doncaster and is keen to play regular football in League One this term.
"With the new manager coming in at Manchester City, I thought that I would see how pre-season went," Mills told the club's official website.
"It was nice to be in and around the squad, but I spoke to the manager last week and he said if I stayed I'd be involved but not starting.
"As a player I wanted first-team football. A few offers came in and I chose Doncaster."
