The Addicks had looked to be leading the chase for the 22-year-old, but Kepa's agent Alvaro Torres has now confirmed that the forward has a straight choice between a move to Eastlands or Upton Park.

Both City and The Hammers are looking to recruit Kepa from the Primera Liga leaders after the player grew frustrated with a lack of opportunities under Juande Ramos this season.

Now Alan Curbishley and Stuart Pearce face an anxious wait to see whether Sevilla opt to loan their striker to England, and if so whether his destination is Manchester or London.

"Sevilla is evaluating two offers from West Ham and Manchester City for Kepa," said Torres.

"Both offers are six-month loan deals.

"The club should make a decision later today."
