Manchester City's Dutch midfielder Paul Bosvelt says he has no plans to retire at the end of the season.

The former Feyenoord man has a little over six months to run on his present deal with the Eastlands club and as yet no talks have taken place over an extension.

Bosvelt says he is in no hurry to enter into negotiations, but plans to play on next term.

"It is too early to say what I will do," he told the club's official website. "My current deal runs out at the end of the season and I will wait and see what happens.

"I am not really looking for this or that, it is a case of waiting. But I want to keep playing football.

"I am 34 and of course people will look at my age but I feel really fit and as long as a I feel this fit I will not stop. Why should I?"
