Nicolas Anelka admits he would love to play for a 'big' club again.Nicolas Anelka insists he is happy at Manchester City, but admits he would love to play for a 'big' club again.
The French international says his current situation is different to that at his previous clubs, such as Arsenal, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain - which he has left in acrimonious circumstances.
He states that he was unhappy at other clubs and that he was desperate to move, but that is not the case at Eastlands.
"When I had to leave other clubs, it's because I wanted to leave. Leaving is not my aim and I won't walk away because I don't have a problem here," said Anelka.
"It is true that I would love to play at a big club again, but I am still under contract at Manchester City and it is up to them to decide if they want me or if they want to let me go.
"I want to play European football again, but I have to be patient and maybe I can do it with City.
"When I left Arsenal, it was because I had done everything there and a big club like Real Madrid wanted me, and even David Beckham couldn't turn them down. But I like it here and I think I am improving my game."
