SWANSEA CITY have invited former Manchester City goalkeeper Brian Murphy for a trial at the club.
Swans boss Brian Flynn is still searching for a back up goalkeeper Roger Freestone (pictured) after failing to agree a deal with Tony Pennock.
The Republic of Ireland Under-20 star has turned down the offer of a new deal with Kevin Keegan's men as he sees no chance of ousting David Seaman as first choice and sees himself well down the pecking order.
Flynn told the Western Mail: "I already knew he was a talented goalkeeper, having seen a lot of him in academy football at Manchester City.
"Brian (Murphy) has a number of options. There are other clubs interested in him, which is no surprise, but I am hopeful we can persuade him to sign for Swansea City."
