MANCHESTER CITY are being linked with moves for Milan duo Jose Mari and defender Fabricio Coloccini.

Reports in Italy suggest Kevin Keegan's side may bid for the pair in a bid to strengthen his squad for next season.

Both players were loaned out by the Rossoneri last term, Jose Mari linked up with former side Atletico Madrid while Coloccini also moved to the Vicente Calderon.

Keegan is keen on bolstering his defence, following the collapse of Michael Reiziger's move to the City of Manchester Stadium and Steve Howey's recent switch to Leicester.

Jose Mari, a Spanish international, netted five goals in La Liga last season, while Coloccini featured 28 times for the side that finished 12th.

With doubts over the long-term prospects of Eyal Berkovic and Ali Bernabia, Jose Mari could be an ideal alternative.
