Manchester City 4 Fulham 1

MANCHESTER CITY produced a stirring fightback to come from a goal down to beat Fulham 4-1 at Maine Road.

Steed Malbranque has suddenly found the back of the net and he put the visitors in front early in the game, but City regrouped and goals by Nicolas Anelka, Ali Benarbia, Marc Vivien Foe and Shaun Wright-Phillips gave Kevin Keegan`s men all the points.

Malbranque scored three in the FA Cup at the weekend and found the target early in the game with a low drive from the edge of the box.

Keegan`s men are a resilient group these days and in Anelka they have a real outlet. The French flyer raced clear and slotted under Maik Taylor to level the scores on 21 minutes.

The second came shortly after the break with a flowing move involving Niclas Jensen, Anelka and Djamel Belmadi resulting in Benarbia slotting home.

Foe fed on scraps to slot home the third shortly after the hour, while Wright-Phillips made an immediate impact following his introduction as a substitute with a lofted effort to cap a good night for City.
