Remy Cabella is hoping to mark his first season at Newcastle United by winning a trophy.
The midfielder joined Newcastle from Montpellier last month and scored his first goal for the club in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Schalke.
Cabella is targeting a piece of silverware this season, with Newcastle's last FA Cup final win coming back in 1955 and their sole League Cup final appearance was in 1976 when they lost to Manchester City.
Newcastle face Premier League champions City in their opening game of the season on August 17 and Cabella is looking forward to the campaign starting.
"There is a good feeling in the team at the moment and my adaptation is good," said Cabella.
"I have friends who are French and I am very happy to be here. I am just waiting for the first game now.
"I hope we can win a cup this season. We play to win a trophy.
"I am very happy to score and get a win for the team. I have only been training for four or five days but it was a good victory and the team is happy."
