Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye has rated his goal in the 1-1 draw with rivals Sunderland as the most important he has scored in his time at the club.

Despite conceding an equaliser in the closing stages, Cabaye was happy with the draw, with Newcastle reduced to 10-men in the 25th minute after midfielder Cheick Tiote was dismissed for a crude foul on Steven Fletcher. "Playing one hour with 10 men on the pitch in a derby is difficult," added Cabaye. "The referee decided to send off Cheick, but afterwards, we stayed compact and we fought as a unit, as a team. "Unfortunately for us, they scored with five minutes to go. We were a bit disappointed, but with 10 men on the pitch, it was a good result for us."
