Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits he is always worried about losing his top players and is ready for the window to close.

A number of Newcastle's big names have been linked with moves and still the likes of Yohan Cabaye and Cheick Tiote are said to be on the radar of a number of sides.

And Pardew admits that whilst the transfer window remains open, there is always the possibility that a big offer could come in.

"I worry about losing all my players because we're not Manchester United or Manchester City. We're always vulnerable," he said.

"I'm looking forward to September 1 now because by then we'll all know where we are."
