Ryan Taylor has warned England not to underestimate France ahead of their opening group game at Euro 2012.
The versatile defender has worked with Yohan Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa at Newcastle and has been very impressed by what he has seen.
The duo have enjoyed stellar campaigns at St James' Park, culminating in the Magpies securing a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League.
And the 27-year-old claims Roy Hodgson's men should be well prepared when they take on Les Bleus in the opening game of their group at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk on Monday 11th June.
"Yohan from the start, he just adapted to the Premier League like bread and butter. He was fantastic and I'm sure at £4million, he was probably one of the bargains of the season," Taylor told Sky Sports News.
"Ben Arfa came on late. I think he came on sort of halfway through the season and to be honest, if he fancies it, he could cause some problems in the European Championships.
"I would even go as far to say that if France go all the way he could be the star man.
"We can't underestimate France in any way, shape or form. We've got to get at them and we've got to dig in because they're a good team all round, so hopefully we can get the job done and keep the two lads quiet."
