Defender leaning towards summer move
Right-back Daryl Janmaat has hinted he could see out his contract at Heerenveen after revealing he would prefer a summer move rather than leaving this month.
The 22-year-old defender is thought to have attracted the interest of several rival Eredivisie clubs, including Ajax, Feyenoord and Vitesse.
He is out of contract at Heerenveen in the summer and could be offloaded by the Dutch club to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
But Janmaat admits a January move does not appeal to him, telling Voetbal Primeur: "It's hard to go somewhere else in the middle of a season.
"I would prefer to join another club in the summer."
