Harry Redknapp has seemingly revealed an interest in Newcastle's Demba Ba, after suggesting there is a release clause in his contract at St James' Park.

Spurs boss also claims release clause in his deal

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has seemingly revealed an interest in Newcastle striker Demba Ba, after suggesting there is a release clause in his contract at St James' Park. Ba has been in great form for Newcastle this term with 15 goals for the Magpies, following his free transfer move from West Ham United. Now Redknapp has admitted that 'everyone' is now looking at the Senegalese striker who has flown out to partake in the African Cup of Nations. "Demba Ba's done great, hasn't he, everybody's looking at him suddenly," said Redknapp. "Anybody could have had him a year ago. Full credit to Alan Pardew, he took him. "He's done a fantastic job. What a strike-rate he's got. He's probably the most in-form striker anywhere at the moment." And in a move which is likely to anger his counter-part Alan Pardew, Redknapp suggested Ba has a release clause in his deal. "They say there's a release clause in his contract, that's what we all hear," he said. "He's certainly done well and it will be interesting to see what happens there, but at the moment he's doing great things for Newcastle."
