Toon defender satisfied with progress

Defender Danny Simpson has revealed that he is delighted with Newcastle's start to the Premier League season. The Magpies are up to fourth in the Premier League table after holding newly promoted QPR to a goalless draw on Monday night. And the north east giants also stretched their unbeaten start to the season to four games with the result at Loftus Road. The 24-year-old former Manchester United player admits he is more than satisfied as the team kept their third clean sheet of the season. "To get three clean sheets out of the first four games is some achievement," Simpson told the club's official website. "It wasn't the prettiest of games. We had a bit of luck but you need that when you come away from home if you want to get something. "It was great defending from the boys and if we can keep up that kind of form at the back, I'm sure we'll keep on picking up points."
