Mohammed Bangura, linked with Newcastle earlier this summer, is understood to be the subject of a bid from Lokomotiv Moscow.
Newcastle were linked with Bangura, along with his namesake Teteh, earlier this summer.
They both play for AIK Solna, who have now confirmed that an offer has been made for one of their players, widely reported to be from Lokomotiv for Bangura.
"I don't want to comment on specific players' situation. That's the line I will keep," sporting director Jens Andersson told Aftonbladet.
" I can confirm that there is a bid on a player in the club but who, and what club, I won't say.
The 21-year-old striker has not heard about the new bid but believes that he is ready to leave
"Yes, of course I am ready. I try to work hard every day so that I will be ready for any league in the world," Bangura told Fotbollskanalen
"But I don't want to think more about it, the risk is that I will lose my concentration. I need to focus on my game."
