Pink pays off for Elliot

In-form Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Rob Elliot says he hopes to stay in the pink for the time being.

Elliot has swapped his goalkeeping jersey from yellow to pink in recent weeks and the move seems to have paid off. The Addicks promptly thrashed Peterborough 5-1 before Elliot's man-of-the-match performance in Tuesday night's 1-0 FA Cup win over Barnet. "I conceded seven goals in two games so I decided to go for the yellow," he said. "But when we played Peterborough I had to wear pink because Joe Lewis was in yellow. "I'm staying with the pink now. He's had a rest and he's earned back his place."
