Seagulls boss looking to add to his squad

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet is waiting for an answer on his bid to re-sign Newcastle United winger Kazenga LuaLua. The youngster impressed during a loan spell at Brighton last season, making 11 appearances for the League One club. Poyet has asked to take LuaLua on loan again and is awaiting Newcastle's response as he seeks to improve his squad. "We have had no more news of Kazenga LuaLua yet," Poyet told the club's official website. "We would like to know either way, but we have heard absolutely nothing. It's out of our hands so we will have to keep waiting. "I would like to see a minimum of three players come in, maybe four, but it's all day, every day that we are working on signing the players, so we will have to wait and see." The Seagulls chief is also ready to make a decision on trialist Erik Midtgarden after the Norwegian striker scored in Friday's friendly against Bognor. Poyet added: "We saw a few things in training, but you need to see a game. "He took his goal in a great manner. It doesn't matter who you play against. It doesn't matter which pitch you are on."
