Midfielder weighs up future options

Ipswich boss Roy Keane has hinted he could make a move for former Manchester United team-mate Nicky Butt. Butt revealed over the weekend he was quitting Newcastle at the end of the season after six years on Tyneside. The 35-year-old is a free agent in the summer and he is weighing up his options with a number of clubs thought to be chasing his signature. Keane believes Butt should play on and has suggested he could be an ideal addition to his squad at Portman Road "Nicky won't retire, I'm pretty sure of that. I think he can still play at a pretty high level, but whether that's the Premier League, it's up to Nicky," said Keane. "As long as you can still play like we saw here, play as long as you can. There are plenty of years for coaching. "Would I want him at Ipswich? His sort of experience is what we've lacked this season so we'll see. Of Keane and Ipswich's interest Butt was remaining coy, saying: "Maybe, yeah. "Coaching is definitely something I want to do - I don't want to leave football. I've a few offers to play at other places."
