Norwich are in negotiations with Dejan Stefanovic regarding a settlement of the defender's contract.

Injured defender could leave Carrow Road

Norwich manager Bryan Gunn is in negotiations with Dejan Stefanovic regarding a settlement of the defender's contract. Stefanovic joined the Canaries last July but he missed the majority of 2008/09, as the club suffered Championship relegation, after sustaining a knee ligament injury. The 34-year-old is still regaining fitness, but has been linked with a move to Norwich's League One rivals Yeovil and he is said to be keen to leave. Gunn has confirmed talks are ongoing with Stefanovic and his agent as attempts are made to find an amicable solution for the former Portsmouth and Fulham player. "We are in negotiations with Dejan and his representative regarding the settlement of his contract," Gunn told Norwich's official website. "He has indicated that he would like to pursue other options which may be available to him, and maybe look to settle back in the south of the country. "So we're currently in negotiations but Dejan continues to train with us which gives him an opportunity to overcome his injury. We'll keep everyone informed as to how negotiations go in due course."
