Phil Parkinson insists there have been no approaches from Premier League clubs for Charlton Athletic starlet Jonjo Shelvey.
The 16-year-old midfielder has been linked with North East trio Middlesbrough, Newcastle United and Sunderland, having made his Charlton debut at the end of last season.
He has featured four times for the Addicks this term, but caretaker manager Parkinson is not expecting to lose the youngster.
Parkinson has fielded no interest in Shelvey and believes the teenager's career would be best served by staying at the Valley.
"We have heard absolutely nothing from any clubs about Jonjo and we do not want to," Parkinson told the South London Press.
"He is a very talented young player and we want to keep him at Charlton.
"He has a big future ahead of him here and I don't think it would benefit him to go anywhere else."
