Middlesbrough and Newcastle United are keeping tabs on NEC Nijmegen defender Jonas Olsson.
The Swedish stopper has impressed in the Eredivisie this season and has scored three goals in 24 appearances.
Reports suggest he has been watched by Premier League rivals Boro and Newcastle in recent weeks with a view to a potential summer move.
UEFA Champions League quarter-finalists Schalke have also been tracking the 25-year-old, who joined NEC from Landskrona in 2005.
Olsson's agent Martin Dahlin confirmed the player, who is under contract until 2009, is wanted by clubs in a more high-profile league.
Dahlin told the Swedish media: "It's no secret that there is interest from England and Germany."
Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town have previously been linked with a swoop for Olsson, while NEC have hinted they would be prepared to sell for the right price.
