Claudio Cacapa is not nervous about making his first home appearance for Newcastle since the 4-1 defeat to Portsmouth.

Defender confident of bouncing back after Pompey shocker

Claudio Cacapa insists he is not nervous about making his first home appearance for Newcastle since the 4-1 humbling at the hands of Portsmouth. The defender looks set to feature in Newcastle's St James' Park clash with Derby on Sunday, a match which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1, after recovering from a hamstring injury. It will be the first time the Brazilian centre-back has played in front of the Newcastle faithful since he was substituted after 18 minutes in the heavy defeat to Pompey at the beginning of November. But Cacapa insists he has no concerns about his return to action at St James' Park as Newcastle look to record their third successive Premier League victory. "I have no worries about going out there on Sunday," Cacapa told the Newcastle Chronicle. "I have only been here a short while but I already know that the Newcastle fans are very fair and what happened against Portsmouth is now very much in the past. "So too, I suppose, is the goal I scored in front of our fans against Spurs in October, but another one like that would not go amiss on Sunday."
