Koeman wants Luque answer

Ronald Koeman is looking for Newcastle to make a swift decision on Albert Luque.

PSV Eindhoven coach Ronald Koeman is looking for Newcastle to make a swift decision on the future of Albert Luque.

The Spanish forward has cut little ice at St James' Park and does not appear to figure in the plans of manager Glenn Roeder.

PSV are in the market for a new forward and they are proposing a six-month loan in Eindhoven.

Newcastle are mulling over the proposal and Koeman is hopeful The Magpies will give them a swift answer.

"We hope for an answer as soon as possible from his club - Newcastle," Koeman told PSV's official website. "He wants to come.

"If they agree on a loan then it is even possible he could be on our training camp to La Manga."

Roeder, meanwhile, has dismissed reports linking the club with a bid for Internazionale defender Marco Andreolli.

The Italian's agent claimed a deal was in the offing, but Roeder has said: "He is not a player I am interested in."
