Roeder dismisses Emre move talk

Glenn Roeder is unaware of any interest from Bayern Munich in midfield schemer Emre.

Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder is unaware of any interest from Bayern Munich in midfield schemer Emre.

Bayern are on the lookout for a new midfield driving force, having lost Michael Ballack to Chelsea, and reports suggest they have set their sights on Turkish star Emre.

The reports have filtered their way through to St James' Park, with Roeder responding by insisting he has no plans to offload the 26-year-old.

"Stories about him leaving took me back," Roeder told The Sun. "They shocked me; I want to stamp it out now."

Emre has made a bright start to the new season, with his partnership with Scott Parker in the middle of the park catching the eye, and Roeder has no intention of letting the Turk move on.

"I'm not aware of Bayern Munich making any offer," declared Roeder. "He's very much part of my plans."
