Glenn Roeder is confident Emre and Steve Harper will not be sidelined for any period of time.
Turkish midfielder Emre was stretchered off as Newcastle slumped to defeat at Manchester United on Sunday, while keeper Harper was nursing a groin complaint in the second half.
Although concerned to see Emre leave the field on a stretcher, Roeder feels the damage to the schemer's ankle is only minor and expects him to be fit for the clash with Bolton after the international break.
"Emre has sprained his ankle," Roeder told Newcastle's official website.
"The doctor doesn't think it is serious but we will have a look at it on Monday just to make sure."
Roeder added: "Steve Harper has a slight groin strain as well but that's not too bad, so there are no real problems with the next game not until two weeks' time."
