Newcastle legend Alan Shearer was delighted with the way he signed off his illustrious career.
The 35-year-old scored the winner in his testimonial against Celtic on Thursday, smashing home an archetypal penalty in-front of his beloved Gallowgate end.
"There was more than just a tear in my eye when I was walking around," he said.
"I defy anyone not to have a tear.
"The way they have been, it's just incredible. Where else do you get something like that?"
"I thank the fans for everything they have given me.
"It's just been very, very special.
"It was absolutely brilliant - a big thanks to them all."
