Newcastle United chairman Freddy Shepherd has rubbished reports linking Emre with Milan.
Reports emanating from Italy had claimed Milan were considering a move for the former Internazionale man in the summer.
Emre has struggled with injury since joining Newcastle last summer, but it seems unlikely they would consider selling the Turkish international.
Shepherd has moved to reject the rumours and insists the player has no intention of returning to Italy.
"If AC Milan want Emre, it is news to us," Shepherd told the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
"But why would he want to go back to Italy when he could not get away quickly enough last summer?"
