Alan Curbishley insists Danny Murphy is going nowhere.Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley has angrily rejected reports linking Danny Murphy with a move away from The Valley.
Murphy's future has been the subject of intense speculation all month after he was left out of a couple of games recently.
Newcastle have been credited with an interest in the former Liverpool man and Curbishley admitted the speculation has been unsettling Murphy.
Curbishley has moved to quash the rumours and insists Murphy is going nowhere.
"I have to put this to bed every time I have a press conference. There's nothing in it, " stated Curbishley.
"I keep saying it and I'll be glad for Danny's sake when it goes away and it will only go away when the transfer window closes.
"Nobody seems to believe it when I say there's nothing in it. He's been a victim of all this publicity.
"He's been unsettled by all this publicity. It is unsettling as everyone keeps asking him if he is leaving and I gave him the answer that he's not.
"It is as simple as that."
