Emre ready for Gunners

Emre Belozoglu is confident he can show his Newcastle United team-mates how to beat Arsenal.

The Turkey international is looking forward to his Premiership debut as The Magpies face Arsenal at Highbury on Sunday, live on Sky Sports 1.

The Gunners will be overwhelming favourites to start the new season with a win against a Newcastle side racked with problems.

Magpies boss Graeme Souness has depleted options in attack, while key midfielder Jermaine Jenas is also unsettled and a target for Sunday's opponents.

But former Internazionale man Emre insists there is no reason for his new team to be fearful of the trip to the capital.

Emre has won in North London in the past and he believes that Newcastle can upset the applecart by claiming all three points this weekend.

"It's not daunting playing Arsenal," said Emre.

"I've had nine years playing against some of the best teams in Europe so I'm used to the top level.

"I've beaten Arsenal at Highbury and it gives me confidence because I know it can be done."
