Fulham boss Chris Coleman has warned the club will not part with winger Luis Boa Morte for less than £5 million.
The Portugal international has been a target for Newcastle United boss Graeme Souness following the departure of temperamental Frenchman Laurent Robert to Portsmouth.
The North East giants tabled a bid for the former Sporting Lisbon, Arsenal and Southampton attacker back in January, but that was turned down and Boa Morte went on to extend his contract until 2008 at Craven Cottage.
The winger himself admitted to being fed up with the speculation surrounding his future last month and Coleman has now warned The Magpies that they must meet the West London club's valuation for Boa Morte.
"The talk was of a £3 million bid, but that wouldn't even buy his left foot," claimed Coleman.
"There's been a lot of nonsense with Newcastle.
"If they want to make a bid, then it's going to have to be north of £5 million."
