NEWCASTLE UNITED youngster Bradley Orr has caught the eye of a trio of Division One clubs, including North East rivals Sunderland.

Orr has yet to break into the first-team picture at St James' Park and will be allowed to leave by manager Sir Bobby Robson on a loan basis.

The midfielder was the subject of an enquiry from Burnley prior to the start of the season but The Clarets did not pursue their interest.

The 20-year-old is now on the shopping list of Sunderland, Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest, who are vying to snare the starlet on loan.

Orr is captain of Newcastle's reserve team and is likely to welcome any chance to accrue some first-team experience to prove he will be worthy of a new contract.

The player's present deal expires at the end of the season and a spell away from The Magpies may boost his prospects of clinching an extension.
