Aston Villa's fears of another injury to Christian Benteke have been lifted after the striker returned to training with Belgium on Wednesday.
As the photos taken by Sky Sports News HQ reporter Ian Bolton show, Benteke has re-joined his international team-mates after leaving training early on Tuesday, and will be fit for their European Qualifier and Villa's Premier League run-in.
Benteke’s premature departure from training had sparked fears he had aggravated the hip injury sustained in the 1-0 home defeat to Swansea last Saturday.
But the 24-year-old’s appearance on the training ground puts him in line for the double-header against Cyprus and Israel before heading back to spearhead Villa's battle for top-flight survival, starting with the trip to Manchester United on April 4.
Benteke has had a tough run of injuries of late, missing six weeks with a hip problem in 2013 before being ruled out of Belgium's World Cup campaign with an Achilles injury which sidelined him for six months.
Meanwhile, Liverpool goalkeeper SImon Mignolet remains on course to return to full training with Belgium on Thursday after suffering an ankle injury in the Reds' 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
