Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert expects Marc Albrighton to sign a new deal at Villa Park.
Albrighton, who is out of contract this summer, revealed earlier this week he was in the dark over where his future lay with a deal yet to be agreed.
Lambert is determined to keep hold of Albrighton and claims they have held talks with the player's agent about extending his stay at the club.
"Regarding Marc, that will get taken care of, I'm pretty sure pretty quickly," said Lambert.
"I think Paul (Faulkner) has spoken to his agent a couple of weeks back. I think Marc's relaxed. He'll be fine. It will get done."
Lambert also praised Albrighton's recent form after winning his place back in the side after being sent out on loan to Wigan earlier in the season
"He's been absolutely fantastic, on the top of his game," added Lambert. "He was excellent on Saturday up against left-back Luke Shaw, a player who you can understand is being talked about highly.
"But I thought Marc was excellent, especially in the second half. He's been so unlucky with injuries but he's been very good since he's been back."
