Brad Guzan feels Aston Villa continue to head in the right direction after collecting another point away at Hull City.
Villa were unable to secure a third straight success at the KC Stadium on Saturday, but ensured that they enter the international break with confidence in plentiful supply.
A difficult opening to the campaign has been put to one side, with seven points taken from the last nine on offer lifting them into the top half of the table.
Guzan admits Paul Lambert's side were short of their best in their latest outing, but was delighted to see them record another shut-out and a positive result.
The American goalkeeper said in the Express and Star: "At the end of the day, a point on the road is not the worst result.
"But, at the same time, I think we lacked a bit going forward. I don't think we created enough chances.
"But you take the positive from it and the clean sheet is definitely a bonus.
"Going into the international break, it's three games on the bounce where we are undefeated."
