Villa prepared to offer youngster Premier League opportunities

Paul Lambert has confirmed that Jordan Bowery is on his way to Aston Villa and claims he will have 'no worries' throwing the Chesterfield youngster in at the deep end. Sky Sports revealed earlier on transfer deadline day that the 21-year-old forward was all set to make the step up from League Two to the Premier League. It is believed that a £500,000 deal will take him to Villa Park, with the agreement including possible add-ons should Bowery meet certain criteria. Lambert believes the youngster is ready to compete at the highest level and admits he will be looking to include 'one for the future' in his first-team plans this season. He said: "He has signed, just about. Potentially he is very good and I've got no worries about throwing him in, none whatsoever. "It (the signing) might have surprised a few people but it is a great opportunity for him. "He is one for the future, but if he steps up to the plate I have no fear about playing him."
