Robbie Keane has praised Aston Villa as he prepares to return to LA Galaxy following his short loan spell in the Premier League.
The Repubic of Ireland international moved to the Midlands in January on a short-term loan deal from the MLS outfit.
The 31-year-old proved to be an inspired signing by Alex McLeish, with the striker bagging three goals in seven appearances, including a match-winning brace against former club Wolves at the end of last month.
After playing his last game in a claret and blue shirt against Wigan on Saturday, Keane will now return to LA to link up with his Galaxy team-mates.
However, the departing forward was full of praise for the Villans and the way they welcomed him into the fold during his loan spell.
"It's a fantastic club, with great support and a good coaching staff I have really enjoyed working with," Keane told Sky Sports.
"Ask any player, if you're playing on a regular basis and playing like a group of players like at Villa, then it makes you job a lot easier.
"I've enjoyed my time here, it's been great, the club have really looked after me and the lads have been fantastic.
"At the moment they are just going through a rocky patch but I'm sure they will come through that."
