Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is asking his players to respond from the defeat and criticism witnessed against Bolton on Tuesday.
Villa lost 2-0 at home to the Trotters - their first defeat of the season in all competitions and go to QPR this weekend.
Despite previously being unbeaten, there were boos at full-time from the home supporters who are still to take to McLeish since his summer move from rivals Birmingham.
Unlike most Premier League managers at this stage of the competition, McLeish only made three changes to his side that drew with Newcastle last Saturday.
Experienced players Stephen Ireland, Richard Dunne and Shay Given were all involved in the game and the Villa boss held his squad in the changing room for a considerable while after the final whistle.
But he explained that issues were discussed in a mature manner: "It wasn't a shouting match. It was an adult conversation.
"I wanted to hear the views of the experienced players and it was constructive.
"It is a learning process for a lot of the younger players out there but the team have to bounce back.
"The experienced guys have done it so many times before, guys like Richard Dunne, so that's the reaction I'll be looking for.
"We know we are not Manchester United but we are trying to blood some young players and fast-track them to be Premier League players and be successful in cup competitions."
